Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, if you would like to relax in our sauna or infra-red heat therapy unit. The heat suite is complimentary with any spa service. Reservations may be required.

Each member of Head Games' Licensed Massage Therapy staff is licensed in Maine, and is a professional member of and fully insured by either the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) or the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). As a group, we work to build referral relationships with other healthcare professionals such as orthopedists, osteopaths, chiropractors, physical therapists, fitness trainers, occupational therapists and acupuncturists. We offer direct billing to health insurance for those whose benefits cover massage performed by an LMT.

Foot Soak & Massage
Add a luxurious aromatherapy foot bath to any massage for only $10. Add a 20 minute Dr. Hauschka neem hair oil scalp massage to any massage or body treatment for only $25.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Unlike the typical spa in the greater Portland area, Head Games’ staff of Licensed Massage Therapists is chosen for their advanced education and experience in the treatment of pain and dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. During your initial session, the therapist will carefully consider the goals set forth in your confidential medical history along with their findings in the initial objective assessment (such as postural assessment, range of motion testing, and palpatory findings) to determine the most appropriate plan for subsequent treatments. Regular treatments often result in lessened pain and discomfort, greater ease of movement, and increased awareness and functionality. Feeling great is just an added benefit!

PRENATAL MASSAGE
Massage during pregnancy reduces stress, promotes relaxation & provides emotional support for the mother-to-be. It can also reduce edema, decrease blood pressure & increase blood & lymph circulation.

HOT STONE MASSAGE
Therapists use smooth river & sea stones heated to 140 F to literally melt your tension away. Some stones are placed upon the body to deliver therapeutic heat to problem areas, while others are used as a tool to penetrate outer layers of tension. This allows access to deeper muscles to ensure that your treatment is anything but superficial.
